The purpose of the Washington University School of Medicine Student COVID-19 Recovery Think Tank is to provide evidence-based proposals regarding actions and policies that we believe will spur regional recovery from COVID-19. Our proposals range from policies that might blunt the current impact of COVID-19 and thereby enhance later recovery to those that might reduce impact from future pandemics. St. Louis is recognized internationally for our region’s successful response to the 1918 H1N1 pandemic. We hope that our work will contribute to St. Louis’ future recognition as a leader in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. While our focus is on the St. Louis region, these proposals may be more broadly applicable and so we share them below. We welcome feedback and can be reached via udube@wustl.edu. These proposals are generated by students and do not represent the stance of the University.
